Creating an identity around a home.

HOME BREW VISUAL IDENTITY

DESIGNING A HOUSE INTO A HOME

As part of the branding and interior design of the space, the client required some window decals that would act as cover-ups for the side entrance of the cafe. There was no initial concept nor further brief for the direction to proceed, the client trusted my creative process enough to bring the brand to life through the use of illustrations, starting with the design of those window decals.

I started small, by creating elements in which I could expand the visual identity of the brand with. This began with the conception of a bottle with a home in it. Then I played around from there.

I then moved on to how I was going to connect the 4 window panels together through this illustration. Based on my in-depth research into the Molonglo Valley and its locals, I knew I wanted to represent the growing community spirit as point of connection - the mountains surrounding the Valley came into play.

BRINGING IT HOME

To bring it all together, I placed each element into the 4-panel window design, and added categories based on the client’s updated request. I also wanted to find a way to get ONA to eventually promote the cafe + bar through social media, so I made sure to include a panel highlighting that ONA is served at the venue. This artwork had to go through the approval of the ONA Marketing Team - the approval came back instantly, and everyone loved how it all came together.
