HOME BREW LOGO DESIGN

  • The client approached me to design a logo for a new cafe and bar opening in Wright. It had to be versatile and bold, impactful yet welcoming.

CONCEPT PROCESS

Because the client wanted something modern and away from his usual style of branding, I started the process by creating unique marks for the logo. I took the concept of a house and played with it through multiple designs and iterations of designs. I incorporated the ‘H’ and ‘B’ into parts of the iterations.

BRIEF CHANGES

As we progressed, the client felt compelled to go back to his roots and requested for a more traditional, detailed logo that suited his style more. The new brief included a coffee cup and plants/leaves enveloping the cup. This was the initial confirmed logo for Home Brew.

FINAL OUTCOME

Over time and due to marketing perspectives that would come to play when the business opens, I advised the client to focus on his initial brief and let me come up with a bold and dynamic logo that could be expanded through multiple uses. By focusing on the text and not an image, I have free range over branding the business through other channels, such as additional signages, menus, and additional marketing collateral. This is the outcome, which the client was drawn to immediately upon viewing the new concept.
