Kitsch Rebranding Logo

Kitschen, a fashion company, wanted to rebrand their entire identity and structure. They assigned me the task of coming up with the logo for the rebranding from the name Kitschen to Kitsch. The brief was to bring the label’s identity a more corporate appeal with a touch of playfulness, and to include hand lettering or a custom font. The logo had to be very versatile as they were still in the midst of restructuring everything. I came up with various hand lettering for the first few batches of samples, and while the marketing team really connected with the freshness of the hand lettering, the brand manager felt those samples were too sporty.

I came up with this final logo that could appease both sides of the team, with a serif style font and custom additions and changes to the font. I placed each letter close together like one would in cursive writing, and created a clean slope at the top to connect the “i” with the “t".

The clients were very happy with how well this design conveyed the requests of everyone on the team.
