Forked Logo Design

Forked is a small fresh pasta takeaway business that wanted a fun and quirky logo to represent their brand. The brief was just that - to create a logo that is fresh, funky, and modern. I really wanted to create a more organic, hand drawn logo. I worked mainly on paper for the drafts before digitizing and creating the samples to present to the client. Because I was drawing on paper, this opened up many variations and options for me to work with and choose from. I started out by creating the “f” in a bold line, and my original idea was to have a hand at the end of this “f”to indicate more of a handshake. However, the client wanted it to be more of a direct play on the name itself, which is why I changed the hand to a fork.

The end result is a curvy “f” combined with the fork, and a letterpress effect to the font used for FORKED. I added a washed out effect to it to make it look more like a stamp, and various background colour options that can be used for packaging of various products.
